Administrator

Type of employment: Fixed-term (for 12 months), with Government funding indicated for two more years), 35 hours/week​​​​​.

We are looking for two experienced administrators to join our team at CELCIS, the Centre for Excellence for Children’s Care and Protection.

About you

As our new administrator you enjoy working across different projects and programmes and working with a range of our internal colleagues and our external stakeholders. You will be approachable, able to work with sensitive and confidential information, manage diaries and records and produce management information and data. You will play an active role in developing the administration and operations processes for CELCIS, working in collaboration with colleagues to support the effective delivery of our services so that the organisation can meet our aims.

About the role

The work of the administration team is critical and at the heart of making CELCIS run well and deliver for children and young people, and those who care for them across Scotland. As a key member of the admin team, you will be involved in various projects and pieces of work, working with and supporting colleagues right across CELCIS to help them to deliver their work. This will involve: organising meetings and events in person and online, note-taking, working with CELCIS colleagues and stakeholders to provide project assistance, preparing, planning and tracking delivery of work, and also helping to navigate, improve and implement appropriate systems and processes across the organisation.

At CELCIS we work to improve the lives of children and young people in need of care and protection, and their families and carers. We do this by supporting people and organisations responsible for their care to make changes in services and in the practices and skills they use, all based on the needs, experiences and rights of children and young people.

Qualifications and experience

You will be HNC/HND qualified (or equivalent) and have relevant administrative experience in a similar role. You will have experience of working in a busy office environment and balancing competing demands, and also experience of working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. You will also have strong IT skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages and remote working platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.

Funding for the post

Like all the team, the post is funded on annual basis, with a commitment of two more years of funding indicated by Scottish Government. CELCIS has received funding for all its posts in this way from Scottish Government since 2010.
