CELCIS's response to a call for evidence from the Scottish Parliament’s Social Justice and Social Security Committee Committee’s thematic session on kinship care. Kinship care is a significantly complicated area legally, practically, financially, and emotionally. We highlight the need for equity and accessibility in provision of support for kinship carer families in key areas such as financial allowances, advice, and whole family support.
