The project is designed to work alongside parents/carers who would benefit from additional support at the time of their child’s transition from primary to secondary school. PIP helps to build relationships between parents and teachers, whilst improving parents/carers’confidence in their ability to support their children’s learning at home.
PIP also aims to empower parents/carers to become more involved in school life and promotes opportunities for them to work together with their school to develop new ways to get involved in education.
A two-part film about the impact Parents in Partnership has had for some of the parents and pupils who took part at Auchenharvie Academy in Ayrshire features in the September 2018 issue of our digital publication, REACH.
