In March 2021 CELCIS and SOS Children's Villages held a webinar to launch a Rapid Evidence Review of research on residential care and a discussion on enhancing policy and practice.

In order to contribute to current international debate around residential care, the webinar offered a review of current scientific evidence on residential care as one of a range of alternative care options, and discussed what researchers have identified in terms of specific challenges and opportunities of its usage, aspects that constitute quality, and outcomes for children.
