Our response to the Scottish Government’s consultation on the National Improvement Framework – enhanced data collection for improvement highlights the importance of regarding data as a means to understanding how care experienced learners and their families experience education. Metrics that reflect the holistic experiences of learner’s trajectory through education provide a basis for a fuller understanding of what matters to children and young people. Practitioners need easy access to ‘live’ holistic information to provide timely and effective support.
