Head of Education wanted for Harmeny
There's a fantastic opportunity to join Harmeny Education Trust as Head of Education. They're looking for someone to lead, manage and develop education, and as part of their senior management team, you'll have overall operational responsibility, along with the Head of Care, for the day-to-day running of the school, including the residential services throughout the year.
Harmeny is a Grant Aided Special School, providing education and care of children, aged 5 to 14, who have complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. Set at the foot of the Pentlands in Balerno near Edinburgh, they seek to achieve the best outcomes for children in their care.
You'll need a deep understanding of the social, emotional and therapeutic needs of children, and a passion for and skill in learning, teaching and assessment, and an in-depth understanding of Curriculum for Excellence, its application across the school, and its integration with Getting it Right for Every Child.
