New Participation Network event coming soon

Young people will work together with CELCIS and a range of partners this September to continue the development of an exciting new project called the ‘Participating in Participation Network’.

As part of Year of Young People celebrations in Scotland, the Participation Network offers an opportunity for young people and professionals to exchange knowledge with each other and enjoy shared learning opportunities in a friendly and inclusive environment.

The next event in the series is titled: Co-production and co-design: the good, the bad and the ugly!

Scotland’s Year of Young People aims to give young people a stronger voice on the issues that affect their lives, as well as showcasing their ideas and talents to create a more positive perception of them in society.

Participation is one of the six themes of the Year of Young People, the other five being:

  • Enterprise and Regeneration
  • Equality and Discrimination
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Education
  • Culture

The September Participation Network event is free and will encourage discussion around the principles and practices needed to create genuine co-production and co-design, as well as providing a chance to develop skills in a supportive space.
