Public appointment - Safeguarder in the Children's Hearing System

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children by acting in their best interests? Scottish Ministers are looking to appoint Safeguarders.

Safeguarders have a unique role in children’s hearing proceedings and can inform and influence decisions. They provide an independent view of assessments and plans for children in the hearing system and they make their own recommendations about what they think is best for children. This can play a key role in decision making by both children’s hearings and sheriffs.

There are vacancies throughout Scotland and full training will be given.

The closing date for applications is Friday 5 August at 12 noon.
