Join us at our Education Conference where we'll be exploring transitions in education for care experienced learners.
Change, no matter how small, can cause anxiety and uncertainty for any of us, but it can be particularly challenging for children and young people with experience of care. We know that positive, nurturing and enduring relationships hold the power to make a real difference in how children experience change in education settings.
From a reassuring face in the playground, to supporting applications to further or higher education, being intentionally thoughtful in our everyday interactions builds a culture of care, one that supports children and young people during times of big and small changes.
Our 2020 Education conference will bring together a range of voices to explore change and transitions within, through, and from education and care settings.
We’re looking for workshop submissions that take a co-production approach to how these are shaped, presented and delivered with care experienced young people. We would also welcome joint submissions that demonstrate joint work between service providers, and/or with parents and carers, or corporate parenting organisations.
We're looking to showcase workshops that are stimulating, participative, aspirational, and interactive - that identify opportunities and challenges, and explore the issues involved in improving policy and practice for learners with care experience and their families.
