CELCIS Education Forum Meeting

Wednesday 27 March 2019

Focus on... Pupil inclusion

Our half-day event for Forum members will have a focus on pupil inclusion and we're delighted to have two fantastic sessions for you to take part in:

Education Scotland and the Scottish Government

We'll be joined by Education Scotland and Scottish Government colleagues who will discuss a series of engagement activities to seek views on the refreshed guidance: Included, Engaged and Involved Part 1: A positive approach to the promotion and management of attendance in Scottish schools.

You will have the opportunity to comment on the refreshed guidance and think about how this can support the promotion of attendance for pupils with care experience in our schools.

Pupil Inclusion Network Scotland (PINS)

We'll also be joined by Colin Morrison who will talk us through two resources available to education practitioners. The first is the Pupil Inclusion Network Scotland (PINS), an online resource for those with an interest in learning, schools, and support for learners.

Colin is developing a second national resource for Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood education, something of interest to teachers and educators who want to connect care experienced young people to the best RSHP learning. You can find out more on the RSHP Scotland website

There will also be the opportunity to hear about what the CELCIS Education Team is working on, and wider CELCIS work. We have also made sure there is time for members to connect and network informally.

We hope you can join us!
