SIRCC 2020 online

From 29 September - 9 October 2020

Earlier this year when lockdown due to the global health emergency became a reality for us all, the team at CELCIS had to take the decision to postpone the SIRCC 2020 conference. With physical distancing restrictions likely to be with us for some time, we've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you - SIRCC online.

We're bringing together updates, webinars, reflective points, practical resources, and so much more over a two week period starting on Tuesday 29 September, in a way that will work for you.

We want to engage with, inspire, and celebrate the residential child care community. The original conference theme of looking at the 'power of everyday care' is true today and going forward in these uncertain times more than ever. We've heard some of the stories of the fabulous work going on in residential child care and we will be sharing the extraordinary ordinary and giving a platform to some powerful anecdotes, experiences, and new or changing ways of working in residential child care, as told by those working in residential care, and the young people themselves.

We'll be posting new content and offering online engagement in short daily bitesize chunks - and all of it is FREE! There's no need to register, except for the webinars.

New content will be added here when it becomes available. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook to keep up to date with what's happening beforehand and to join in the discussions during the two weeks. We'll be collating everything onto this page as we go.

We hope you can join us!
