Consultation response

Our consultation response on the Scottish Government's draft guidance on decision making for foster carers.

This guidance has been developed to help foster carers with the many day to day decisions they face and are required to make around the issues affecting the children they care for. CELCIS welcomes this guidance which will be a valuable guide for foster carers on Scots law. But we would like to see greater clarity in the alignment with Getting it Right for Every Child and the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014. We would also like to see the guidance strengthened from a children's rights perspective.
