The Scottish Government has updated National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland which was published in 2021.

The National Guidance brings together a range of materials, research evidence, guidance and training, and is intended to be a is a practical resource to help leaders responsible for child protection and their colleagues to create the readiness, planning, and design to enhance and implement new ways for agencies to work together.

There are updates to the education, health, child protection processes, child sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking, and poverty sections, with an indication of whether the change requires a change in practice.

This 2023 revision consists of an updated National Guidance document and a Practice Insights document. Other documents published in 2021 have not been updated.
