Year: 2017
Topic: Education
Author: Kirsteen Watson

Fostering a love of books and an interest in learning starts at a very young age. Here, Kirsteen Watson, Regional Director of the Dollywood Foundation explains why it's important for the Foundation, and for Dolly Parton, to make sure vulnerable children have the best start. They provide a free, monthly, age appropriate book to all looked after children in Scotland until they reach the age of five. So far they've distributed over 88 million books worldwide and they're planning to expand further.
