Restraint and physical intervention are challenging and emotive subjects, yet in exceptional circumstances, can be necessary to keep a child safe. We welcome the opportunity to provide feedback on draft guidance from the Scottish Government. Our response highlights learning from ongoing work to reduce the use of physical restraint within residential child care, and to ensure that when it is used, it is experienced as an act of care.
