What the workshop was about

The FYI Group (Fun Young Individuals) is a group of care experienced young people who meet weekly, with a view to making positive change in relevant local care services. This virtual workshop prompted participants to think in the context of 'transforming lives with passion and compassion' and the importance of the relationships between young people and those who support them. Thinking in a person-centred way, they explored how we communicate, what we say, when we say it and where we say it. What is the impact of the language we use in the company of the people we work with?
