Research collated by the Nuffield Family Justice Observatory (NFJO) exploring the nature, availability and use of child level administrative data at the local and regional level, by children’s social care departments has found that many councils in England and Wales are unable to make full use of the data they collect on children’s social care because of budget cuts and a lack of resources.
