Action for children calls for more foster carers

A survey carried out by Action for Children has revealed that 88 per cent of adults in Scotland show little to no interest in foster caring.

The results coincide with a new initiative, launched by the charity this month, to recruit more foster carers by showing the difference they can potentially make in a child or young adults life.

Nationally, Action for Children is running a spare room campaign which encourages adults from all walks of life to considering fostering a young person. This is regardless of the carers age, relationship status or sexual orientation.
