Homelessness charity looking for volunteers

Adults from a range of backgrounds are being invited to pass on their skills and life experience to vulnerable young people aged 14 – 26.

The homelessness charity Move On is seeking volunteer mentors to help young people in Glasgow achieve their goals. Those goals include gaining employment, accessing and sustaining a home, and building confidence.

Mentors will be provided with in-depth training before working one-to-one with young people at weekly meetings that usually last a few hours.

Activities at weekly meetings include cooking lessons, learning a language, and martial arts.

Anyone with experience of homelessness or being in care is encouraged to apply.
