Supporting the education of care experienced learners: Celebrating ten years of Virtual School Head Teachers in Scotland

At our June meeting of the Education Forum, we’ll be hosting a special, extended version of our online event, to share the development of the work of the Virtual School Head Teachers in Scotland, and how they are contributing to supporting the education of care experienced learners.

This event will follow the official launch of a new evidence-informed Virtual School Head Teacher Role Profile – a key national resource developed by practitioners, researchers and policy makers to support high quality practice.

During the session, attendees will hear about:

  • The themes and issues from research and practice which impact on the Virtual School Head Teacher role
  • How the role profile will increase visibility and promote a better understanding of what Virtual School Head Teachers do
  • The ways in which Virtual School Head Teachers and the Network are contributing to supporting the education of care experienced learners.

There will be time for questions to our speakers and attendees will also be provided with event-related resources.

Who should attend?
The event is open to everyone who works with children and young people in an educational setting.
