PACE programme praised for improving outcomes for children, young people and families

14 September 2016

Aberdeenshire's fantastic Social Work Department has been nominated for a Quality Improvement Award for their PACE programme, which is supported by CELCIS.

The team is up for the 'Outstanding Contribution to Improving Outcomes for Children, Young People and their Families Award', thanks to their exceptional delivery of Permanence and Care Excellence work.

About the PACE programme

The PACE quality improvement work in Aberdeenshire has been achieved through interdependent services working together to achieve a reduction in drift and delay in permanence.

They've surpassed their original aim, to ensure that 90% of children accommodated before their 12th birthday will have a permanence plan within 9 months. This has given children a higher chance of improved outcomes in childhood and into adulthood.
