Change-makers sought! Help Scotland to Keep The Promise.

We’re looking for an innovative and experienced professional to help us improve the lives of children, young people and care leavers by supporting the stability and security all children and young people have a right to.

About you

Do you have a deep understanding of and commitment to the change and improvement set out in The Promise Change Plan, and respecting lived experience of care? We’re looking for someone who’ll bring passion, insight and expertise to our work, focused on making effective family support and, where needed, high quality alternative care available to children and young people, their families and carers. The role would suit candidates with the compassion, sensitivity, strong relationship-building skills and the ‘systems’ thinking and approaches required to support, facilitate and encourage systemic and strategic change in practices.

About the role

You will be leading and supporting system change and practice improvement using a range of improvement approaches to improve lifelong outcomes for infants, children and young people, their families and carers, based on a strong understanding of children’s needs and their development. You will be able to apply a range of improvement and implementation approaches to realise the aspirations of The Promise; UNCRC, GIRFEC and other key national policy initiatives and also lead programmes of work with local areas and other key stakeholder organisations through effective partnership working, modelling and demonstrating an understanding of the complexity and challenge of the work.

Working within a dedicated team, you will support the development of genuine partnerships to facilitate staged based and evidence-based approaches to change, applying these approaches through skilled facilitation and coaching to support the implementation of innovative and evidence-based practices that will better meet the needs of children, families and carers.

Qualifications and experience
