Adoption of disabled children - review of research

Year: 2013
Topic: Disability, Permanence
Author: BAAF

BAAF has produced a briefing looking at the adoption of disabled children.

It summarises learning from recent key research including the Adoption Research Initiative (ARi).

The paper also considers the ways in which three key stages of the adoption process have been and might be further improved for disabled children: planning for permanence, finding a family, and post-adoption support.
